the cleaness and quiteness was the best, plus their stuff was excellent. i thank them and hope that for my next trip to montreal i will definetly choose hotel dorva.
They had a lovely breakfast;. The accommodations were clean and tidy and basic. But we enjoyed our overnight stay.
it is not a fancy hotel or motel, but it was safe and clean. It is more like an extended stay place for people who work in the area.
I stay for a week, I would have prefer to have cleaning services at least twice.
Shopping for groceries was close. Fridge, stove etc worked. The beds were OK. I was owrried we might get bugs but we don't seem to have. Upon arrival I very nearly fofetted the money. It was so bad.
It was very old and very dirty. The carpets were filthy, the blinds were all broken and didn't close and were very dirty. The balcony was rickedy and rusty. The security was very bad. Windows did not lock and were at ground level. Air conditioners did work somewhat but had cords running across the floors which were a danger.
I found this hotel Apt. Online, the really nice lady picked me up at the airport after I finally arrived from Panama for an overnight stay due to flying out the next morning to Fredericton N.B. It was a late arrival, I was delayed by Canada customs as random check, a croud of Haitians had arrived about the same time as me from N.Y., I must have been the only Canadian in the room....... Of course they found nothing, and I hate shopping anyway.
Location, value for my money, good service
It was clean, as any hotel should be. However, generally it was a mess! The entrance door was jammed and had to use force to open it, the windows were delapidated and could not close them and as a result we froze all night, the heating grid fell to the floor, the blinds were not adjustable, there were no glasses to drink and the toilet was blocked. This place needs a complete rehab. I would not recommend to stay there when you can stay in a proper hotel nearby for the same price.
Absolutely nothing. It's a dump for homeless people. We had an apt with two double rooms with kingsize beds. We only needed one room. None of the lamps works beside the beds. The lamp shade had no screw on top and was falling off. The furniture was just old junk picked up from yard sale and still had the sale stickers on it. All in all the place is just for homeless or people that have experienced a fire and have no place to live. I guess the government puts people into these places. It is a 50ies apt building which has not been renovated. We paid 94 dollars for a dump and could have paid another 10 and got a modern room. The toilet ran water all night (wasteful!!) and noisy. Your company should stay at these places before making a recommendation.
It is a appartment building converted into hotel/appartments to rent for a few days. Very clean, nice hostess, and close to airport and shopping mail. easy access. medium to long stay are very confortably possible, with everything you need.
no elevator and if you have big luggages...it is hard to climb stairs.
Apartment hotel is very close to Montreal International Airport and Montreal Dorval VIA Rail Station and they offer a shuttle service. Rooms somewhat dated but very clean and well maintained, I was upgraded from a studio room to a one bedroom fully equipped apartment.Continental breakfast (included) was excellent.
The shuttle pickup from the airport wasn't available when I phoned but they paid for my taxi fare. Shuttle transfer to the rail station the next day, missed the turnoff and because of the layout of the roads we literally went round in circles. Overall the shuttle transfer worked but was a bit "lumpy". Best advice is to phone before arrival to confirm shuttle pickup, remembering that if you are arriving internationally it may take a while to get through immigration and customs.
Reserved a studio apartment and were upgraded to very spacious one-bedroom apartment.
Fire alarm went off at night;unsure if protocol was followed during this event.
Very handy to international airport. Great shuttle service (free),adjacent shopping mall ,restaurants and walking access to train, large rooms with full kitchen facilities. Adequate breakfast
Older style building in need of upgrading. No lifts for upper floors Noted some rooms were being renovated
The room was bigger than expected with very nice amenities (I.E. kitchenette, wireless internet). The hotel was clean and conveniently located for our stay in a decent area of the city. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
The free continental breakfast was mediocre but no major complaints. A second air conditioner in the room would have worked wonders during the really hot week of our stay. Overall, these were minor things and the whole package was good value for money.
Nothing in particular if not closeness to airport, but if you are charged a minimum taxi fee of cad 16.50 for a 5 minutes drive this is not really a point.
No proper reception service; in fact this is not a hotel but a building with several flats rent out as hotel rooms with a minimum of service. Came into the ( locked) building only by chance because a cleaning woman was around and saw me through the door; but alas, she still had to clean my room ( at 6 P.M.!!!!!!), something particularly agreeable to find after a transatlantic flight. The "fully equipped kitchen" is a joke: yes, there is an oven, but no pan, no pot, some pathetic plates, but no cutlery whatsoever. Be prepared to stir your coffee with --- the handle of your toothbrush---- or rather avoid this place altogether ( my advice ).
Efficient and friedly receptionist, close to airport
When you arrive, not sure if you are in right place, from outside not obvious. Stairs even if not to many, because of luggage
